Your counsellor’s ability to create rapport, empathise and listen attentively may help improve things. Your counsellor will always show you unconditional positive regard and never be judgemental. Your counsellor is there for you.

Is Counselling For Me?

Not everyone finds counselling equally helpful, and it does not always work for everybody. It is a very personal process, and at times it is necessary to talk about feelings or decisions that are painful and difficult. During this process some people go through a period of feeling worse than when they started.

However, counselling usually helps most people to feel better in the long-run.

It often takes a number of counselling sessions before therapy starts to make a difference, but even just a few sessions may already make some difference.
